Chaos and Order Muppets--See you soon! Hello 8th Graders,
It has been a wonderful year and I thank you all for being in my 8th grade ELA class. Thank you for the laughter, the conversations, and hard work. Remember our lesson on the Muppets--we are all a little bit of Order and a little bit of Chaos. It is how we use our traits that help us to find the most success in life. Jim Henson once said, "My hope still is to leave the world a bit better than when I got here." Through your chaos and your order, you will leave Tappan a better place. Thank you for being here. This week we will wrap up with a letter writing campaign on The Holocaust, watch Boy in the Striped Pajamas, and celebrate with a promotion party on Wednesday. Please encourage your child to look at their PowerSchool account on a regular basis. Students in both grades will be finishing the year strong and it is not fun having to make up missed work on beautiful spring days. Weather reminder: Dress in layers. Our ELA classroom runs cool in the morning and warm to uncomfortable in the afternoon. Water bottles are welcome. Juice, soda, and fruity drinks are not welcome. If they spill we could have unwelcome sticky floors and critters. June Office Hours: I will not be holding office hours in the month of June. Thank you and have an amazing week.
